Halloween and stitching fans, rejoice! It's the Not-So-Spooky Stitching Club! Because what could be better than combining embroidery, cute spooks, English paper piecing, and candy?

The Not-So-Spooky Stitching Club is a stitching project that combines embroidery and English paper piecing, with a bit of sewing. It's suitable for beginners and fun for experienced stitchers too.

This project features 13 embroidery patterns with some favorite Halloween characters and icons.

Each pattern fits on a piece that's part of a hexagon spider web mini quilt, and that's where the English paper piecing (a hand-sewing technique) comes in. Along with the embroidered sections, you'll also make extra pieces and everything will fit together to make a mini quilt you can hang on your wall or use as a table mat.

Full instructions for English paper piecing and sewing the mini quilt are included, though it's helpful to have some knowledge of embroidery and know how to use a sewing machine.

If you can set aside a few hours a week for this, you'll have a hand-embroidered 14x16-inch mini quilt ready in time for the Halloween season.
